Love is in the air

I DROPPED INTO my local supermarket tonight and was met with not one but four gorgeous, uber-pretty Valentine’s displays. Walls of flowers, chocolates, balloons and the not-so-sublte references to Paris (Eiffel towers everywhere) and which has long enjoyed the tantalising reputation as the City of Love … it’s impossible to ignore that St Valentines’ day approaches.

To acknowledge the festival of love, love fest or that love is ‘in’ this week (and I hope certain Syrian and Afghan governments heed the message) I’ve stayed on theme with a splash of Paris (may I get there before I buy the farm), some roses I photographed so long ago it’s amazing they’re still in bloom and the simple message Happy Valentines.

I personally will the see the week out with heavy doses of French jazz music (I recommend Madelaine Peyroux) and possibly on the day take in an Aurdrey Hepburn movie at a tres chic cinema here in Tucson known as The Loft which thankfully specialises in cinematic experiences outside the blockbuster and delves into the flick when it was still an art form.

Oh, how’s business going? C.H.A.L.L.E.N.G.I.N.G. It seems every step forward is like shuffling through a field you know is full of land mines. There’s a lot of caution, scrutiny of the path ahead and considerable trembling… am I having fun yet? You betcha!

I’ve got a few jobs on the boil and still in the throws of working on marketing and tweaking the website… it’s a good thing, I love this job!

Anyhow, the lasagna’s almost done, so enjoy your week with someone special and if you don’t have someone in your life who brings sparkle into your world, then be sure to spread the love… it’s in the giving after all.
