I shot this bird on the Everglades in Florida. Not a native obviously but a show stopper and very photogenic though it was around Christmas time and I did wonder what roast peacock might taste like. Thankfully he was not a mind reader because he stood a few feet from me for almost 20 minutes, looking at me, looking at him. I think my brief commune with a bird (though frankly the blank stare of any bird is a little disconcerting) proved reasonably fruitful from a photographic point of view. Hope you agree. 🙂
