Atlantis in the raw knee deep in building materials and scaffolding awaiting the completion of her new state of the art exhibit at the Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, Florida, and a far cry from her halcyon days of repairing our eye in the sky, the Hubble Telescope. I’ve been privileged to see it twice up close this weekend. I look at my children and wonder at the possibilities that wait their generation. As this photo suggests, I’m not alone sharing in the awe of this special space craft and all the courage, risk and achievement it represents.

  1. It must’ve been quite a sight to be able to stand that near to a space shuttle! Can’t say I don’t envy you! 😉

    1. Pretty special moment! So good in fact we went back a second day for another look. It’s new exhibition centre looks like it will be pretty out of this world too when it’s completed next year… well worth a look.
